Stuart has also developed an advanced range of synthetic graphite-free solutions and emulsions for the hot forging and stamping of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Designed to be environmentally friendly with good operator acceptance, they give effective release and cooling while providing a non-abrasive coating on impression dies. This facilitates good metalflow to obtain well defined, clean finished forgings.

Significant advantages have been gained in the production of aluminum and brass components by applying Stuart’s advanced graphite-free formulations, which leave a clean surface finish. The Thermex range of graphite-free solutions and emulsions are typically applied by spray or hand swab and form stable solutions that can be run at 3% - 10% dilution, depending upon the application.
