Oil-based
The Thermex range of oil and ester based graphite compounds are available in a wide range of viscosities, including semi-paste formulations for heavy duty forward and backward extrusion applications. Lighter blends of graphite, ester and mineral oil have been developed for the forging and hot stamping of aluminium and brass components, including difficult forms for the aerospace and automotive industries.
Water-based
When producing precision forgings, near net forgings or forgings that require good surface finish and high tolerances such as con-rods, crankshafts, axles or steering components, the Stuart range of water-based graphite die lubricants offers significant improvements in the following areas:
